Shur-Way is more than just the St. Louis auto body repair center that brought water-based painting techniques to the midwest. Our specialized team also happen to be vehicle owners just like you!
We each make the morning commute to and from work. We roll down the windows and turn up the music when the weather’s just right. We celebrate that moment the odometer turns 100,000 miles…and 200,000 miles…and 300,000 miles. Sure, we may be a bit meticulous when it comes to hastily buffing out that a paint scratch or door ding, but what can we say? We’re car people!
Not only that, but we’re also people people. That’s why we love what we do here at Shur-Way, and we love the way we do it. Here’s what we mean…
In the beginning…
Shur-Way was built on a foundation of honesty, quality and integrity that we recognize to this very day.
Our journey began in 1971 with our founder, Earl Swederska. After purchasing the company from his parents 23 years later, Mike Swederska Sr. continues to cultivate and reinforce our core values.
Since we’re family-owned, doing the right thing for everyone within our shop’s walls comes naturally; that includes treating our customers like the Shur-Way family members they are.
Shur-Way’s Three Principles of Service
Every decision we make for our employees, our customers and our customers’ vehicles is executed with these three principles in mind:
1. Awareness
Our number one job is to ensure that our customer is comfortable, understood and satisfied with the work we produce. To help us achieve these goals, Shur-Way has adopted several tools that are openly available to all.
For instance, we offer free collision repair estimates to let customers know how much their repair will cost before a single second of work is performed. We have also developed a free iPhone and Android app to help our customers track the status of their vehicle’s repair from start to end.
As a paint and collision center, we believe it is our responsibility to take care of the environment whenever we can. For this reason (and many more), we use waterborne paint on every vehicle we touch.
2. Efficiency
The tools that help keep us aware of our customers are also what makes us more efficient. Our repair estimates and mobile application help us better categorize and track our customer’s needs. Our waterborne paints are more than just durable or environmentally friendly; they are easier and safer for our specialists to use.
When we work more efficiently, we are able to quickly get our customers back into the driver’s seat of their vehicle and their life.
3. Quality
Precision isn’t a word we take lightly. Because we are car owners, we know how we would want our own vehicles to be treated. And like every person who walks through our doors, every vehicle we service becomes a part of the Shur-Way family.
We trust in our work so much that we accept nothing less than 100 percent satisfaction from our customers. To prove it, we back the integrity of our work for as long as our customer owns his/her repaired vehicle. Anything less than quality service simply isn’t the Shur-Way to do business.
Shur-Way or No Way
Drivers depend on their vehicles so much, sometimes it’s easy to forget how important four tires and a steering wheel are until we’re unable to use them.
Given our line of work, Shur-Way knows that needing to visit a St. Louis auto body repair shop isn’t what many would call a joyous occasion; in fact, it can be downright upsetting. We understand that you need help patching up one of the most expensive objects you’ve ever purchased and getting back onto the road to pursue your busy life.
We get all of it.
Now take a moment to glance at our principles of service once more, and you’ll notice that the first two hardly talk about paint or repairs. They focus on people.
Even though “auto body” is in our name, Shur-Way’s first priority is you — your concerns, your needs, your satisfaction. Despite the hundreds of thousands of vehicles we’ve mended, each job begins the same: with reassuring our customer that everything is going to be okay, followed by delivering on this promise time and time again.
