Shur-Way was founded in 1971 by Mike’s dad, Earl Swederska, Sr. Mike has been an integral part of the business since day one. In 1995 he bought the business from his mom and dad and immediately began making vital improvements. Today, he continues to update the business to keep up with changing times. Shur-Way underwent a major renovation in 2007. This proved to be a wise decision, and the shop has served customers in the St. Louis area ever since.
Shur-Way was the 1st in the Midwest to bring water-based paint technology to our industry. The decision of which paint company to use came after a full year of experimenting and studying every paint manufacturer’s product, keeping in mind quality, endurance, low VOC’s and production. The decision was made to stay with our current vendor, PPG, for many reasons, the foremost being PPG’s lowest VOC (volitole organic compound) product in the industry. This was just the start of Shur-Way evolving into what it is today.
We are a family working toward growing our business and doing the absolute best work for our customers.
