Today we met down on HWY N & HWY 44 around 9 am. We were there to head over to the conservation access on Blue Springs. The weather was over cast but very mild for this time a year. We were able to complete all the test on the spring feed creek in three hours. The ammonia, dissolved oxygen and nitrate test came out very good. Lots of oxygen with no signs of any septic or fertilizer run off in to the creek. We also check for other chemicals like the kind that is used for deicing the HWY. Great bug count on all the underwater bugs. Very high in life that again shows a great aquatic environment for the fish. We try to do all these test two to three times a year and for those that are not familiar with Blue Springs. This spring feed creek is just one a 6 wild trout creeks in the state of Missouri.
